Participation at General Meeting of IEA Wind Task 32
sowento participated in the General Meeting of the IEA Wind Task 32 that focuses on lidar applications in wind energy. After a fruitful and interesting meeting during which several workshop leaders presented the main objectives and results from this year’s task workshops, the poster reception was sponsored by sowento.
On November 9-10, 2017, the General Meeting of the IEA Wind Task 32 was held in Stuttgart. The IEA Wind Task 32 focuses on lidar applications in wind energy and aims at mitigating barriers of lidar usage in wind energy. David, in his role as operating agent representative, led the General Meeting and was honored by the advisory board for his continuous support and commitment to the task.
sowento had the opportunity to present recent results from our field-testing of lidar-assisted control to the General Meeting.
In the evening, a poster reception was organized. Participants had the possibility to discuss results and present new research projects while having a beer, sponsored by sowento.
Everybody enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and discussed different topics of the posters and lidar applications.
